Whistleblowing

Raising the Right Flags

Some things demand to be spoken—especially when staying silent means letting harm continue.

We believe that protecting human dignity means protecting the right to speak up. Not later. Not when it’s safe. But when it’s right.

This statement is our way of making it clear: if you see something that feels wrong—whether it’s unethical conduct, abuse of power, exploitation, discrimination, or anything that compromises fairness—you have not only the permission but the protection to raise the right flags.

We’re building a space where truth isn’t feared but welcomed. Where speaking up is not an act of risk, but of integrity.

Because wrong doesn’t fix itself.

1. What You Can Speak Up About

Speaking up isn’t just about whistleblowing major scandals—it’s about calling out anything that erodes the values we stand for.

At Humane Mind, you can raise a flag about anything that feels dishonest, harmful, unethical, or unsafe.

This includes—but isn’t limited to:

A. Unethical Behaviour

Misuse of authority, corruption, or dishonest conduct that violates our moral grounding.

B. Harassment or Discrimination

Any action that degrades, excludes, or mistreats someone based on their identity, belief, or ability.

C. Modern Slavery and Exploitation

Signs of forced labour, unfair working conditions, or abuse within our operations or supply chain.

D. Health, Safety, or Environmental Risks

Practices that could endanger people or the planet.

E. Privacy or Data Breaches

Mishandling of personal data or security lapses that violate trust.

F. Retaliation or Cover-ups

Attempts to silence, threaten, or punish those who come forward with concerns.

You don’t need to be certain. If something feels wrong, that feeling is enough to start the conversation.

This right isn’t limited by role or rank. Whether you’re a team member, partner, vendor, or observer—your voice is welcome, and it matters.

2. How We Protect Whistleblowers

Raising your voice should never cost you your peace, your job, or your dignity.

At Humane Mind, retaliation has no place. No one will be dismissed, demoted, sidelined, harassed, or treated unfairly for doing the right thing—even if the concern raised turns out to be unfounded, as long as it was made in good faith.

We take every concern seriously and treat each one with discretion and care.

Here’s how we protect you:

A. Anonymity, if You Choose

You can raise concerns without revealing your identity. While we always welcome open dialogue, you’re never required to attach your name if you’re uncomfortable doing so.

B. Confidentiality Always

Whether you speak openly or anonymously, the details you share will be kept strictly confidential and shared only with those who need to know to address the concern properly.

C. Protection Against Retaliation

If anyone attempts to retaliate against you for speaking up, we will act—decisively. Protecting your courage is a responsibility we take seriously.

D. Support and Clarity

We provide guidance throughout the process so you always know what to expect, where your concern stands, and how we’re handling it.

Courage deserves safety. And at Humane Mind, it always has both.

3. How to Raise a Concern

You don’t need to be certain—just sincere.

If something doesn’t sit right with you, speak up. Whether it’s something you’ve witnessed directly or something you suspect, your voice matters.

Here’s how you can raise a concern:

A. Email Us

You can write to us at [email protected]. Keep it as detailed or as brief as you’re comfortable with. All messages are read and handled with care.

B. Send It Anonymously

If you’d prefer not to share your name, you can submit an anonymous note through our confidential form [insert a link]. No IPs tracked, no cookies, just your voice.

C. Talk to Someone You Trust

If you’re part of a team at Humane Mind and feel more comfortable speaking with a colleague or manager you trust, you can do that too. They’re encouraged to pass your concern to the right place while respecting your privacy.

We’ll always listen with fairness and handle every concern with the gravity it deserves. Because silence is never a solution—and you should never carry discomfort alone.

4. How We Follow Through

Every concern raised is taken seriously, handled with discretion, and followed through with care.

When a concern reaches us, we begin by reviewing it promptly and objectively. If we need more information, we may reach out—always with sensitivity, and only when necessary.

A. Initial Review

We assess the concern to understand its nature, urgency, and impact. Anonymous or not, every voice is treated with equal importance.

B. Fair Evaluation

If an investigation is warranted, we conduct it thoroughly but discreetly—ensuring no retaliatory action is taken against anyone raising a concern in good faith.

C. Taking Action

If wrongdoing is found, we act decisively and appropriately. This could mean anything from policy updates to disciplinary action. Whatever the outcome, we use every concern as a moment to do better.

D. Closing the Loop

Where possible, and especially if you’ve shared your identity, we’ll inform you of the outcome or the steps taken—even if it’s just to say we’ve heard you and what happens next.

Because raising a flag is just the beginning. What matters most is how we respond.

5. The Culture We Build

Speaking up isn’t just a right—it’s a reflection of the culture we choose to nurture. One where silence doesn’t protect wrong, and honesty doesn’t go unheard.

We don’t just want to respond to concerns—we want to create an environment where they’re safe to raise in the first place. Where respect meets responsibility, and every voice, no matter how small, has room to be heard.

This isn’t about policies on paper. It’s about a shared standard: that doing the right thing is everyone’s job, and protecting it is ours.

If you ever notice something that doesn’t feel right—whether it’s misconduct, negligence, or harm—please don’t wait. Send a discreet message to [email protected]. Your concern will be received with the seriousness and confidentiality it deserves. Always.
