Modern Slavery

No Labour Without Liberty

Modern slavery doesn’t always wear chains. Sometimes it’s woven quietly into supply chains, masked by convenience, and tolerated in the name of growth. But not here.

At Humane Mind, we believe no innovation is worth building if it comes at the cost of someone else’s freedom. Fairness isn’t a feature. It’s our foundation.

This statement reflects our stance today. Even before our systems go live, we’re choosing the side of dignity—because what we allow today becomes the culture we inherit tomorrow.

1. Where We Draw the Line

We don’t turn a blind eye. From day one, we’ve chosen to ask harder questions, dig deeper into supply chains, and hold our partners to higher standards—because dignity doesn’t come with disclaimers.

Here’s where we draw the line:

A. No Forced Labour

We do not work with any supplier, partner, or service provider who exploits people through forced, bonded, or involuntary labour of any kind.

B. No Child Labour

We do not tolerate the use of child labour in any form. Every product we consider and every system we build is scrutinised with this in mind.

C. No Hidden Exploitation

We watch for practices that hide behind subcontracting, outsourcing, or third-party silence. We require clear, traceable, and transparent supply chains.

D. No Complicity in Silence

If there’s doubt, we pause. If there’s suspicion, we investigate. If there’s wrongdoing, we act. We don’t wait for certainty to do what’s right.

These aren’t just expectations for others—they’re boundaries we place on ourselves. Because technology should not be built on suffering. Not ever.

2. How We Stay Vigilant

We don’t assume compliance—we confirm it. Vigilance, for us, is about paying attention, asking often, and never looking away.

Here’s how we stay alert:

A. Due Diligence That Digs Deeper

Before we engage with any supplier, partner, or contractor, we conduct thorough checks—not just on paper, but in practice. We ask hard questions, seek documentation, and assess alignment with ethical labour practices.

B. Transparent Sourcing

We seek traceability in every step of the value chain. We favour partners who can map and share the journey of their products—from raw material to finished product.

C. Contractual Safeguards

Every contract we sign includes clauses that strictly prohibit modern slavery and human trafficking. Breaching these terms means termination, without negotiation

D. Ongoing Monitoring

We don’t do it once and forget it. We keep checking. Through audits, self-assessments, certifications, and direct feedback, we track our supply chain actively.

E. Internal Awareness

We train ourselves to recognise the signs. From onboarding to leadership decisions, everyone at Humane Mind is educated on how modern slavery can hide in plain sight—and how to confront it.

Staying vigilant is a mindset we practise daily. Because freedom is not a one-time promise; it’s a duty we renew with every decision.

3. How We Stay Vigilant

We don’t want to be part of a system that turns a blind eye. We want to be part of a future that opens its eyes wider.

We imagine a world where dignity is not a benefit—it’s a baseline. Where innovation uplifts without exploitation. Where growth doesn’t come at someone else’s cost.

We know we’re only at the beginning. But beginnings matter. That’s why we’re choosing to stand tall now, laying the groundwork for a future where people aren’t hidden behind progress—they’re part of it.
